What to do about dried out blonde hair?

I used to dye my hair light brown im naturally black haired. I had the same problem and i went to the hair dressers they stripped my hair of the colour and my long hair was cut into a shoulder-length bob, but i now have longer hair than before :) so maybe going and getting your hair cut and a few treatments? :)
