What is the ideal weight for a ballet dancer at 5'5"?

For professional ballet dancing the ideal weight is 85lbs at 5' and 5lbs extra for every inch taller. So at 5' 5'' you should ideally be 110lbs. So yeah you are basically perfect. If you feel like you need to lose weight you are wrong. BUT you may just need to convert the 'softness' you feel into muscle. I suggest pilates. Professional dancers use pilates to tone their bodies because it focuses on similar muscle groups that ballet does. Remember, muscle weights more than fat so while you gain muscles expect to gain weight as well.
