My hair is no more shiny?

my hair was shiny soft and silky(even without using conditioner) i used to get compliments so often,i've black straight hair but now my hair is no more shiny and soft,its getting rough & missing the shine...i just want my old hair back...can anyone recommend a good shampoo or anything to get back the shine & softness
